In this immersive 2-day course, you’ll gain a deep understanding of primitive reflexes—their crucial role in brain, physical, and emotional development, and how to recognise when they are retained.

We’ll explore the development of the central nervous system, including sensory processing, and examine how retained primitive reflexes relate to neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia. We’ll also discuss how reflexes can be impacted by trauma, including anxiety, PTSD, and C-PTSD.

You’ll learn how retained reflexes can affect learning, focus, and concentration, and which specific reflexes are involved in these challenges.

Through a combination of theory, practical exercises, and experiential learning, you’ll work in pairs or small groups to:

• Identify individual retained reflexes

• Discover the movements that help integrate them — and understand why they work

• Practise movement techniques, massage approaches, and other tools to strengthen brain connections and support integration

By the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge and practical skills to recognise and address retained reflexes, helping to support better learning, emotional regulation, and overall development.

I am a qualified Neurodevelopment Therapist and ADHD Coach and have been working with people with ADHD, Autism and other Neurodiversity for over 20 years. As an experienced neurodevelopment trainer, I also offer other courses to support adults and children in reaching their potential.
